Street artist ‘Pastel’s stylised floral murals painted on faded exteriors and the playful mark-making of artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz, as seen at Frieze London this year, evoke a childlike aesthetic that centres around a playfully applied and somewhat naïve graphic handwriting.

COLOUR
New pastel combinations are found in updated takes on the rose and serenity blue pairing, which are layered back with buff and cosmetic tones and contrasted by a sharpened sage and bold graphic blue.

ATTITUDE
A carefree and playful attitude sees clashing influences and eclectic fabric combinations layered in looks that evoke nostalgic feelings of childhood, dressing-up boxes.

Fabrics: Whimsical, playful and pastel oriented as this looks is, it’s as equally relevant for menswear as womenswear. We all loved dressing up and here we have nostalgic references to childhood in new hued rose prints, florals, tiny all-overs, naïve fruit and insects patterns and comic book themes.

Trims: The whimsical and the nostalgic in souvenirs from childhood. Girly flowers and posies and kitsch collages, rose work patterns, doll-like buttons and fastenings and feminine patterned zips. Everything from the teenage bedroom.
