Celestron 70EQ Overview
Designed for intermediate users, Celestron’s PowerSeeker 70mm f/10 EQ Refractor Telescope is intended to take astronomic observation to the next level by providing a complete set up for viewing the Moon and planets, and brighter deep-sky objects like star clusters and galaxies. Two eyepieces provide 35x and 175x magnifications with a 3x Barlow lens that triples the magnification of each eyepiece for a wider-range of observing possibilities.
Its manual German equatorial mount has precise Right Ascension (RA) and Declination indicators for celestial navigation, and dual slow-motion cables to track your object with accuracy and reduced vibrations. An adjustable-height aluminum tripod provides a stable platform for sky-watching, and the included 90° erect-image diagonal makes looking through the scope more comfortable, especially when aiming the telescope directly overhead. The diagonal’s prism corrects images horizontally and vertically, allowing the scope to be used for terrestrial viewing as well.

The PowerSeeker mount comes with two slow motion control knobs that allow you to make fine pointing adjustments to the telescope in both Right Ascension and Declination axes, also referred to as RA and DEC.
Accessories Included
Accessories include a 20mm and 4mm eyepiece, a finderscope, and a 3x Barlow lens. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications for low and high powered views. The 3x Barlow lens triples the magnifying power of each eyepiece.
