SOURCE
Inspired by an emerging renaissance of hand crafting techniques, particularly of Eastern crafts such as bookbinding and origami, we are drawn to a calming and authentic aesthetic created by textilebased artists such as Erin Curry.

COLOUR
These are the new neutrals. A Zen palette of off-whites, sand and barely there blue, layered in calming largely tonal harmonies. Subtle textural interest found in natural or recycled fabrics and hopsack-like weaves add further tonal nuances.

ATTITUDE
The new utility concentrates on Zen basics that defy gender, focusing on minimal, functional detailing and beautifully hand crafted fabrics and finishes
Fabrics: A fabric story that takes in all the season’s main tenets –neutrals, naturals (and above all linen), the crafted and the rooted. An Eastern look without the blatant ornamentation mixing desert/Sahara cottons, linens and Berber stripes with tonally nuanced Paisleys, Kashmiris and Moorish tile and ceramic work.
Trims: The feel of the East and the desert in fretwork labels and trims that recall shuttered windows, bead and pattern work modelled on Moorish tiles, metal work buttons from the souks and bazaars and precious chains.
