Barbara Vaughn’s rippling photography inspires through her exploration of aquatic patterning and depth of colour. While her work focuses on water, these natural surfaces are photographed with a several menswear graphic designs in high quality – a contrast that is felt throughout this theme, in which traditional fisherman silhouettes are married with contemporary detailing.
Color
Deeply saturated ocean blues and aquas are the focus of the palette, coming together in swirling harmonies that conjure up new, aquatic takes on tired camos. Touches of high-vis orange and yellow broaden the palette, adding interest through pop trims and statement seasonal outerwear.

ATTITUDE
Cleanly engineered garments in simple silhouettes focus on aspects of high quality design; notably fabric interest, craftsmanship and attention to detail

Fabrics
Essentially a performance story based on coatings, stretch and compact constructions. Use of colour – a gamut of blues lit by lifebuoy orange – and subtle patterning evoking freezing ice and white caps lifts the story to a new level.
Trims
A polarized approach which starts with the rough and rugged featuring corroded chains and nautical striped cords, braids, trims and labels but then ends with the highly decorative effect of crystalized ice.
